What is it and how does it work?

Psychedelic-assisted natural plant is one of many new, highly effective ways to help people improve mental health, productivity, creativity, and focus. Psilocybin is a chemical found in certain types of mushrooms. It can produce powerful hallucinations, euphoria, visual enhancements, and changes in perception.

Psychedelic assisted therapy utilizes psilocin, a naturally occurring substance found in psychedelic mushrooms to help people improve their mental health and wellbeing.

When psychedelic mushrooms are ingested psilocin interacts with the 5-HT2a receptors in the brain which modulate the production and re-uptake of serotonin to produce power psychological effects.

Psilocybin will allow people to experience emotion on a level that is not familiar to our everyday routine. It will also open the relationship one shares with their self producing an abundance of emotion which is stored from both positive and negative experiences in our lives that have built up and settled itself in the mind and body.

It is believed that the psychedelic compound is associated with reconnecting an intimate relationship with ones higher self/ sub conscious as well as positively unite relationships in your personal and professional environments. As a result, they can sift through their memories and gain new perspectives.

Psilocybin is believed to help people feel more connected with others as well as themselves, which can help patients become less withdrawn and reclusive. This program allows for a platform which cleanses emotion to allow release of negative drawback and realign intensions to focus of growth and peace.

Licensed therapists are available for referral from our program if requested.

In 2019, Denver established itself as more lenient towards psychedelics after becoming the first major U.S. city to decriminalize psilocybin through a drug-policy reform ballot initiative. Denver’s Psilocybin Policy Panel works with city departments to establish harm-reduction strategies as well as collect data on the effects of this move to decriminalization the substance. In 2022, the state of Colorado legalized the production and consumption of psychedelic mushrooms.

When this occurs, patients might experience intense fear, panic, or even paranoia. A facilitator is there to guide the patient through the "trip" to assist with understanding the message.

Other risks associated with psilocybin include an increase in a patient’s vulnerability to mental health issues. Psilocybin can cause long-term changes in mood and cognition, so it’s important to undergo psilocybin only under the direct supervision of a specially trained physician or guidance coach who is connected with the plant medicine and familiar with the spiritual journey.

Most importantly, while most people can safely ingest and experience the benefits of psilocin. Psychedelic mushrooms should not be consumed  for severe mental illness purposes. pregnant women or people who are taking medication for mental health conditions. It is recommended that those with any pre-existing psychological conditions or brain injuries consult with a healthcare professional before ingesting psilocin and it is required to disclose during the intake process.
